But additionally, there are many divine islands with long shorelines, there are ancient and picturesque seaside cities built in the period of the Romans and Venetians, and there are also coniferous mountains, lakes, and villages.
Unlike some other countries, the weather in Croatia does not usually let you down. The summers do not get too hot - they are warm and mostly sunny. Fall is mild, especially in September.

You can also enjoy a pleasant boat trip or fishing excursion from the harbor. Adding historical value are the nearly 1000-year-old Church of Saint Lazarus and the even older Hala Sultan Tekke mosque. Nearby are the Larnaca Salt Lakes, where flocks of flamingos can be spotted during the winter months.

On the western coast of Cyprus, the richly historic city of Paphos is often considered the cultural capital of Cyprus, although it also boasts pleasant, laid-back beaches where one can sunbathe irresponsibly and while away the time. Paphos' coastal archaeological park proudly showcases ancient buildings, columns, and mosaics, some dating back 2500 years. The ensemble includes a well-preserved amphitheater and grand tombs. Slightly elevated from the beach is the colonial-style old town of Paphos (Ktima), which is well-maintained and practically invites you for an evening stroll. However, most of the active tourist life takes place below, on the palm-lined seaside promenade.

Tourists primarily come to the island of Haiti for its sunny coast and cocktails in tall glasses. There are many beaches, and almost all of them are free. There are spacious, well-equipped urban beaches, as well as hidden wild bays. For those travelling with children, the resorts of <ins>Boca Chica</ins> or the beaches of <ins>Sosua</ins> are ideal. And in June, Puerto Plata hosts the Caribbean Culture Festival...

Holiday every day

As you can see, in the Dominican Republic, there is a carnival, festival, or folk celebration every month. And if you happen to have a rare free day, you can arrange a feast for yourself. Dominican cuisine, a product of three cultures—European, African, and local—is difficult to call ordinary. It is based on beans, vegetables, and bananas. These three ingredients usually come in combination with meat.
Try "bandera," a dish made of meat, fried bananas, beans, rice, and salad, "asopao" soup and fried pork "puerco-en-puya". Wash it all down with rum or "mamajuana," the traditional Dominican drink. Locals believe that it helps to cure all diseases and even stimulates potency. There is no evidence yet, so the only option is to see it for yourself!
